Industries play an important role in development and employment -generation, but industrial expansion is also causing damage to the environ-ment. The solution to this problem lies in harmonizing development and the environment in such a way that the process of development continues with minimum adverse impact on the environment.


In Pakistan environment issues are of great concern because of the increasing level of industrial pollution.The briding by companies of corrupt officers in civic agencies has led to the dumping of industrial waste in the Arabian sea and in some parts of industrial cities .In addition, state and multinational fuel companies are marketing various grades of gasoline that contain high levels of lead.
