KARACHI: Members of Sindh’s provincial assembly belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) staged a walk-out from the Sindh Assembly’s in-camera session on Thursday over the quashing of cases against members of the banned People’s Amn Committee.
Sindh’s Inspector General Fayyaz Leghari and Additional IG Sindh gave an in-camera briefing over Karachi’s law and order situation.
The MQM members staged a walkout from the session when they were briefed about the quashing of cases against office-bearers of the outlawed People’s Amn Committee and shouted slogans against the decision. The MQM lawmakers said that annulment of cases against terrorists was not acceptable in any case.
The MQM convened an emergency meeting of it’s Rabita (coordination) committee.
