Jiah Khan born on 20th February is an Indian actress who was born and raised up in Britain. Her birth name is Nafisa Khan. She spent her childhood in West London Chelsea. Jiah Khan’s father Ali Rizvi is an Indian American while her mother Rabiya Amin is a former Indian film actress. Jiah Khan did her Advance level studies from London in the field of film studies and literature. She also underwent Dramatic Arts studies from New York, but she never completed it.
When Jiah khan was sixteen years old she got the mega offer to work in Mahesh Bhatt’s movie Tumsa Nahin Dekha, but she did not sign because according to her the role was too mature for her age, eventually Dia Mirza took her role opposite Emraan Hasmhi. A few years later she made her bollywood debut in the controversial movie Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachan directed by Ram Gopal Verma. The movie was inspired by Lolita and American Beauty. Critics gave mixed reviews for the movie, some labeled it a bold new attempt and some out rightly rejected it. Jiah Khan’s debut venture fetched her great reviews and she was hailed for her buoyancy and charm. She got a Filmfare best debut nomination for her performance.
