Chris Brown accused of service fabrication

Chris Brown’s community service commitments have been challenged by the court.The R&B superstar is on probation for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.Part of his sentence for the offence includes 180 days of community service.Chris was committing his time to aiding organisations in his native state of Virginia. After prosecutors’ objection, Los Angeles Judge Schnegg ordered the star to complete community service in California.

TMZ reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has now filed documents claiming that the documents supporting Chris’ community service are fraudulent.

On September 14 2012, Chief of Police in Richmond, Virginia Bryan T. Norwood wrote a letter to the court saying the crooner successfully completed 202 days of work. Apparently he laboured at Tappahannock Children's Centre, a charitable organisation where Chris’ mother was once director.

The Richmond Police Department admits that they only supervised Chris’ service on at most 10 occasions.

The DA investigated his claims saying that there was no 'credible, competent or verifiable evidence' that his service was accomplished.

The Los Angeles District Attorney alleges that Chris in fact did not fulfill all of his commitments. They claim that the star was even on a private jet to Mexico during one of the days he says he was contributing to the community and was performing concerts internationally during some of the documented service dates and times.

A motion has been filed to dismiss Chris’ submitted paperwork, as 'significant discrepancies indicating at best sloppy documentation and at worst fraudulent reporting' is allegedly taking place.

Chris is also accused of five potential probation violations which include, testing positive for marijuana, fighting with Frank Ocean in January, failing to obtain a travel permit, damaging a fan’s phone in Miami and throwing a chair through a window at the set of Good Morning America.

Chris was sentenced to five years of probation in 2009 and faces possible jail time should he be deemed in violation of probation.
