Honey Singh Dies in Accident? No, Yo Yo Honey Singh Alive; He Posts a Photo on Twitter Amid Death Hoax

Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh is not dead, despite reports to the contrary after  photos were being circulated online.

One of the photos showed him lying on a hospital bed and accompanying text claimed that Singh had been in a car accident that ended up killing him.

However, his official Twitter account later debunked the rumors, saying that “News of YoYo’s accident is a fake rumour must be spread by some haters. Please don’t bother and Keep blessing YoYo.”

The account later posted a photo of Singh with the team of Raw Star. ”YoYo never sleep , happy with startv n saibaba team ‘Rawstar’ mukembo Khush hua,” it said.

Singh, who is involved in several ventures, was announced as behind the new show.

“Yo Yo Honey Singh will be playing the role of a friend-mentor-judge to all the budding Raw Stars. He will be seen picking up participants from different parts who with their unique singing, style and performance, will fight it out to become the first ever India’s Raw Star,” according to the press release.

The show will enable talent to be picked up from India and abroad through the help of the Internet, the release said. “Produced by reality show veteran Gajendra Singh’s – Sai Baba Productions, India’s Raw Star will be on the lookout for the ultimate performing artist who can create their own inimitable style of singing, and is an all-round performer irrespective of the language of singing or the genre of music. In the show, Yo Yo Honey Singh will specifically look out for talent who are great performers and not necessarily just great playback singers.”

Singh said in the announcement: “I am looking for talent that is authentic, original and raw! In India’s Raw Star the hunt is for someone who has his or her own style of singing, a non-tampered versatility in his or her style, someone who is as fresh as maa ke haat ka khaana. The singer has to be a performer and has to be someone who is better than me and that is no easy task!”

Singh is also involved in an effort to bring his Global Fighting Championship, which was started in Dubai, to India.

“Film actors, sportspersons, musicians, socialites, royalty and just personal friends…they were all here. I want this to be one of the biggest sporting events from India,” he told India Today at the event’s start at the Dubai World Trade Center.

“My friends Shafiq, A Zak D and Prince Aamir, we are all into boxing. We practice mixed martial arts regularly. There are many wrestlers in my mother’s family. So I guess I’ve inherited my love for wrestling from my mother’s side of the family.”

He also revealed that he wants to make boxing an organized sport in India, starting with bringing the championship to the country in October.

He also said that he has a “bank” of 200 songs ready, meaning he can focus on his other ventures for a while.
