Latest News for Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot Getting Her Own Wonder Woman Movie? — The Truth Revealed,Score one for the ladies! After years of female heroes playing second-fiddle to the Avengers and Batmans of the world, it looks like Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman may finally be flying solo.
Gal Gadot has officially signed a three picture deal to play Princess Diana of Themyscira — or, as she’s widely know, Wonder Woman. Find out the details of this amazing deal — including whether or not it will include a standalone Wonder Woman film — below!

Gal Gadot Set To Star In Her Own Wonder Woman Film
It’s about freaking time. No offense to Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and especially Anne Hathaway — who would have been great in a standalone Catwoman film — but it’s been maddening to see the ladies always playing second-fiddle to the male leads in the bazillions of Marvel and DC films that have come out over the past decade or so. Not that Black Widow should take top billing in a movie about Iron Man, but isn’t it time for a female superhero to land her own film?

Reportedly, Warner Brothers thinks that the answer to that question is a resounding “yes.” HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site Variety confirms that Gal, the Israeli actress who was recently cast as Wonder Woman, has signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros. We already knew that she’d be playing the role in the upcoming Ben Affleck-led Batman vs. Superman film, but Variety‘s sources say that Gal will reprise her role in both a Justice League movie, and… drumroll please… a standalone Wonder Woman flick!

Now, we can’t get too excited just yet. If Gal’s performance in Batman vs. Superman is poorly received, the studio won’t give her a standalone film for obvious reasons — a Wonder Woman movie has been theoretically “in the works” for years, and of course they’re going to want to make sure they have the perfect star for the badass role.

No one has successfully stepped into Diana’s shiny red boots since Lynda Carter took on the role in the iconic TV series back in the ’70s, so if Gal and Warner Bros. successfully pull off a lucrative Wonder Woman film, it will be a remarkable achievement.

reader Maxim is back with some more Wonder Woman news from Israel. Gal Gadot was interviewed once again on Good Evening with Gai Pines, the top entertainment show in Israel. According to their report, Gadot got locked into a 3 movie deal when she signed on to play Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman. That’s not too surprising, a 3 movie deal is usually the norm in superhero movies, but I don’t think we’ve had confirmation on Gadot’s deal until now.

While talking about her lucrative modeling career, Good Evening with Gai Pines estimated that Gadot will be making $300,000 for her role as Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman. They also revealed that Gadot is scheduled to start filming the Man of Steel sequel in May, which lines up with the production delay that Warner Bros. announced last week.
