Death of a rhino inside the world -famed Kaziranga Natopma Park


A rhino was found dead today inside the world-famed Kaziranga National Park which has
witnessed a spate of rhino killings recently.


A male rhino was found dead with its horn intact inside a water body near Kanchanjuri camp in Bagori range of the camp, officials said.

The veterinarians examined the dead rhino and concluded that it was a natural death. Forest personnel removed the horn and it will be kept in the custody of the department, the official added. Altogether 43 rhinos have died naturally or due to floods  while 19 have been killed by poachers during the year.
